Folia Oecologica is an international scientific journal publishing peer-reviewed original research in forest ecology. It focuses on forest ecosystems and other ecosystems supporting forest vegetation, including areas with woody vegetation outside forests. The journal covers a broad range of topics, from fundamental biology and ecological processes to forest conservation. It publishes original research articles, short communications, and review articles.
We welcome submissions that are relevant to the journal’s international readership and make a significant and original contribution to knowledge. Research articles should clearly identify a gap in existing knowledge, explain how their findings address that gap, and highlight the ecological and practical implications.
Folia Oecologica is indexed/covered in Elsevier Products (Scopus™), Web of Science and other databases.
